Dietary cholesterol is not a big deal. Enemy number 1 is trans fat and not fat intake. Even if only 20% of your calories came from fat, if you ate poor quality fats like the trans fat in fried food, and frozen food, your cholesterol would still be rubbish, it would just take longer to give you a heart attack.

It's better to eat healthy fats like soybean oil, nuts, avocado, olive oil, etc. Even if you use butter once in awhile it's not a big deal it's better to cook at home and use butter than it is to go out and eat trans fat. Up to 40% of your calories can come from fat if you don't eat junk.

Frozen pie crust is like trans fat hell. The sodium is the least of your worries in a potpie.

I've always found it weird that you have a response to MSG ("savory" taste buds). if it's so bad for you, why does your body respond to it positively? bitter and sour are evolutionarily evolved to protect from poisons and what, spoiled meat?...

Antifreeze by itself is said to taste sweet. Your evolved sense of taste wouldn't do you much good then - but that sense evolved in the absence of bottles of deliciously toxic antifreeze.
Some things don't exist in nature in the concentrations we can produce.
