It seems like shooting back at the mass shooters works! Pretty hard to kill a lot of people that are also carrying their own guns.
Pertty sure Jesus would ban all guns if he had the power

Okay let's for a moment say that there is no causation whatsoever, and natural targets for mass killers also happen to be GFZ. At the least can you make a case that GFZs have a positive influence on curbing gun crime? I think by default any law without proven efficacy after a period of time is one not worth keeping on the books.Well, yeh, but it has the ring of Truthiness, and that's all that matters.
MtnMan needs to source his assertion, then claim that correlation & causation are the same thing.
I doubt we'll see either.
I'd favor all high school students being required to take gun safety and education classes.
Statistically speaking, your are demonstrating a deep level of extreme ignorance, and a health dose of denial.
Of the 60+ mass shootings in the past 30 years, all but 1 occurred in a GFZ.
Although I hate motherjones I agree with their article thats this is a myth:

Here are the mass shootings from 2012

Gun Free Zones:

December 14, 2012—One man, and possibly more, murders a reported twenty-six people at an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut, including twenty children, before killing himself.
Seriously, how insane is it that ANY military facility of any kind is a 'gun free zone'. That's just asinine. Of course, 'gun free zones' are asinine anywhere- to a killer that reads as "increase your death toll zone", but a military facility is craziest of all.
Overnight, outbreaks of politeness would ensue!
a. The authorization to carry firearms will be issued only to qualified personnel when there is a reasonable expectation that life or Department of the Army (DA) assets will be jeopardized if firearms are not carried.
b. DA personnel regularly engaged in law enforcement or security duties will be armed.
c. DA personnel are authorized to carry firearms while engaged in security duties, protecting personnel and vital Government assets, or guarding prisoners.
The implication being assholes would probably try harder to be less of an asshole and start shit with people since they may be armedThe implication being that if you're not polite to someone carrying a gun, that person might shoot you?
Yeah, that's really the kind of society I want to live in.
FYI, the gun regulations on military bases were the result of a department of defense directive issued by George H. W. Bush in 1992. They became effective in 1993 which is why conservatives have been claiming Clinton inacted them.

If you want to live in a society where everybody openly carries a weapon all the time, move to Africa, Afghanistan or Iraq. Strangely enough, everybody carrying a weapon appears to not have helped their rampant murder rates.
What a great way to live a life, toting 7 lbs of steel with you everywhere you go. Call yourself free but live in so much fear that you cannot leave your house without your little safety blanket (gun).
I think you need to read the 2nd Amendment again since it is their right. Do you wet your pants at the sight of seeing a person with a gun?
Here are my two children with my favorite rifle. I own guns. I fear my fellow gun owners who sound like a bunch of whack jobs who appear one insult away from going on a murder spree.

What the hell is wromg with you?Disturbing photo...Reminds me seeing photos from 1939 - HitlerJugend...
I don't think, normal parents would take such picture and post on the net....Some drugs forced to do that? dunno...
Just wonder...how many parents would take a photo like this and post on the net?
Don't forget...that growing up children can use guns on their parents - It was not that long ago in CT, I think?
Photo's is really disturbing....
I doubt that parent of those little kids are sane....Normal? prolly....NORMAL PEOPLE WORRY ME.....
Well that is the current way it is done in Chicago. So how is that working out for the hostages that live in Chicago.
Anyone that thinks that would work is an total idiot.
Statistically speaking; You are dead wrong.
It is a myth that gun-free zones attract shooters.
What the hell is wromg with you?
Deliberate obvious direct trolling is not allowed.
ON SUBJECT:
I would actually feel safer knowing everybody over 21 was carrying on a regular basis.
You are just like the liberal retards, to the bone ignorant and a wee bit just plain stupid, you believe in fairy tales. Jesus is a fictional character of ancient folk lore.
Well the facts make you look rather clueless.

Not a problem, they can dive under tables like the sheep they are and hope that people with guns will assume the responsibility of defending themselves and eliminate the threat.
Oh, wait, they want to ban good people with guns, so they need to stand up and take a couple of gun shots to prove their conviction that gun free zones are safe.
Having guns and ammo laying around your children seems very responsible.
My father was an avid hunter and always taught me to have a certain fearful respect for guns. Not to glorify them.
