What problem are you having? I always though formatting was straight forward. Typing "format c:" in ms-dos or just doing it when you install windows. Those seem easy to me. Too hard for you?

No need for sarcasm..
I was simply asking for a bit of help

Again...When installing a oem drive in an external usb HD enclosure, the drive isnt recognized
It needs partioned and formatted...

I'm wondering if someone has a quik n easy way that this can be done

Thx in advance

Boot your OS with the drive connected and use fdisk/format to prepare it, don't understand the problem.

What is your OS? can you see the unit connected to he bus?

Boot into Windows, plug in the drive and let Windows install the drivers. Then go to My Comuter > Manage > Disk Manager. Select the new drive and format it. It's really simple.
