My friend gave his 12/13 year old son a camcorder to make movies with his friends. The son wants to be able to edit the video on his Windows XP computer. I gave him a Leadtek Winfast 2000 Deluxe to capture the video to his hard drive, and it came with some ULEAD software that is OK.

Is there any software that is pretty easy or very easy to use and learn? It doesn't need to be able to do anything fancy, just rearrange video clips and maybe add in some titles. The more simple it is, the better.

Is it included with XP HOME OEM? If so, then he is in luck!

Now, I just need to find out if he has SP2. I doubt it because the computer is about 2 years old, and they have dial-up.

He should have a version of the software because it is included with all versions of XP, but he may have 1.0 if he isn't good about keeping his pc up to date. Version 2.0 has some really nice features, so I would highly recommend it. He can get the updated version through the windows update site.
