Do PS2 controllers work with the PS3? Obviously it would not do the 6 axis thing or be wireless but is there a port you can plug them into and does it generally work?
 
There are PS2-to-USB adapters that work with some controllers.

When I looked at them 4 years ago the comments on Amazon said they had too much lag to be usable with rhythm / dance games but that might have changed.
