easy noob question

im going to reformat my hard drive, and i dont want to lose my internet explorer bookmarks, what folder do i need to backup?

Just go to C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\Favorites. That's the folder you back up.

replcae the "user_name" by your login name for windows. This should work for win XP and win 2k, assuming windows root dir is on c:

Or open IE and file-import export and just export favorites to any location you would like to save it(ie flash drive) then when you reinstall windows open IE, file-import export but this time import the favorites.

The import/export thing is pretty neat. I did not knew about it.
