You are in the market for a new laptop. The model you wish to purchase is $1,600 in a local store. However, you decide to buy the computer over the internet for $1,400. You will need to pay shipping charges of $59 plus the 6% local sales tax. Taking into account taxes and shipping charges, what percentage do you save by ordering it online? Round your answer to the nearest tenth of a percent.

Sales tax for both:
$1,600 + ($1,600x.06) = $1696
$1,400 + $59(Is this included in the sales tax?) + ($1,400x.06) = $1543
$1,400 + $59 + ($1,400x.06) + ($59x.06) = $1546.54

$1543/$1696 = 0.9097877
$1546.54/$1696 = 0.911875

About 9%-10% of the cost.

Hell, I wish I only had to pay 6% sales tax...currently 8.375% here.

BTW, which outlet offers the best deal on the necessary Monster Cable Products to hook up the computer?

Monster cable has nothing on my hand-made diamond coated adamantium USB cables...
