Regular sized bowl. Exactly the amount of water it says. 3.5 minutes on High in my little 600 Watt microwave. Perfect EasyMac. It's just that simple.

Good thread everybody except of course for the personal flame attacks on the guy. It shows the diversity in cooking.

With my 1300 Watt Microwave, if I put it on High for 3.5 minutes like above, there would be no water left in the "regular sized" bowl.

Only takes 1.1 minutes for the water to boil and I'm at 1,250 ft so water boils sooner too.

There is a lot of variables.
Using a MW is not cooking, It's warming up!

Is Normal Macaroni too hard that you need the Easy Mac? I never understood the need for it.

Normal macaroni is simply:

Water in bowl to boiling.
Add noodles and cook 7 minutes
Drain.
Add milk, butter and cheese powder.
Stir until ready.

How hard is that?

Yeah if you want to call that cooking. I use Microwaves to mostly heat up pre cooked food and to cook Popcorn

OMFG! j00r 1337 Mic|2o\/\/av3 ski|1z are teh sUck! Engrish translation: You are a sad sad person if you can't microwave food properly.

I've been doing it for 10+/- years and can cook almost anything without looking at the instructions. He11 I could probably microwave up a Thanks Giving dinner given the proper equipment.

Just follow these steps:
1. Never use a small bowl
2. If your mw doesn't have a turn table rotate your food 180 degrees every 1-2 mins.
3. Always start off cooking to the minimum time.
4. If you have a more powerful mw take off ~15secs for every extra 100 watts you have.
5. Listen too/watch the food. If it sounds/looks done stop cooking it.
6. Don't forget to stir, doesn't matter what it is. If it says stir separately its lying, mix it together.

Hope this helped. :D

put a piece of raw meat in the microwave and leave it in for a couple of minutes on low power. it WILL come out cooked and fully edible.
