Hello,

What are some easy-install heatsinks? I'm building my first pc, and I don't really want to use a shim (also don't want to kill a 1.33 GHz Athlon). I need a heatsink that's easy to install, puts out a medium to low dB level, and can keep a scorching Athlon cool. I might overclock a little (maybe to 1.4 GHz, just because). I thought I had decided on the TaiSol CGK760092, but I read in another forum that it takes a lot of pressure to attach the clips (enough that you think you'd crack the core). Also, I don't want to spend more than $40 or so. Any opinions?

Thanks in advance,

Go for the TaiSol CGK760032. Pressure is healty, so don't worry about it. Plus, I think they have to best designed clip on the market, with the 3 things on each side. And there's a slot for a flathead screwdriver. Just stick the screwdriver in and push down and out. I got mine on with the first try, no problems.
