Easy CD creator...new track(Data) added...can't read previous data?

First of all, I don't want to turn this into an Adaptec versus NERO, etc.--I just want some info/help.

That said, here's what happened:

Last night I was trying to add a data file to a CD that already had files on it(which I have done numerous times without a problem). I dragged the file down and when I went to burn it, it prompted me with something like "Do you want to add a new tack to the Disc?", hmm...I never got that prompt before, oh well, and I just clicked OK.

After the burn, I checked to see if the file was there. When I clicked on the link to the drive to check the contents the only file visible was the new file. Where the heck did my other stuff go? The properties for the disk state that it only has 2.00 MB, the file is 1.91 MB. What happened to the other 648 MB of data?

Am I screwed or what?

Thanks for any help.

I personaly add new data to CDR by first Importing the last (by Date) session By clicking CD; Import Session... then I can see all have have recorded (all sessions) so far and just add new data (drag and drop) and burn. Never had any problems with this method. You might consider using this method (or you allready are and just didnt go into detail to explain it) either way I hope you get that DATA back.

AtaStrumf,

That's how I normally do it, but I was extremely tired last night when I did the burn, so I screwed it up.

Hopefully I can recover the data.
