Easy CD Creator 5 problems

I am using Easy CD Creator 5 under Windows Xp and whenever I insert a blank CD, Easy CD Creator reads it then pauses then reads again. It does this for like 10 minutes and severely annoying.

Also, the file system generation takes a really long too. (When easy cd creator is reading the files just before beginning to burn, I guess).

Anyone know how to fix these problems? (Especially the first one)
 
Did you download the patches from Roxio to allow full compatibility with XP? Also, I would recommend using Nero. It's a bit more reliable than Easy CD Creator, especially under XP.

I owuld have to agree...get the latest patches (if you have not already) and definitely look into Nero..it is WAY more compatible.
Which makes you wonder since Microsoft licensed the burning interface they have in XP from Roxio...but the retail product doesnt work well...go figure!
 
I am using easy cd 5.1, once I finally got it working I didn't want try the 5.2 update. ( I did install the xp update)
