easy bios flash??

In addition to the excellent instructions by Osage and in case you hadn't been there, this page has your latest BIOS files. You really want to click on the "Flash Notes" icon also.

Edit: I see by your next post that someone already has pointed you to the BIOS page. You might want to limit your similar/duplicate threads so that you decrease the amount of duplicate material that "kindly folks" 😉 post for you. Just a little heads up.

Thanks, I tried all the steps, but I am running XP, and I can't get the sucker to go into dos upon boot
up.It says I have an I/o error and need to replace disk.i'm in quicksand.......

Try going to Bootdisk.com and downloading the appropriate XP boot disk. It is very do-able to boot and flash with XP. I have done it before. You just need the correct disk. Well, you also need to make sure you have your floppy enabled as the boot device in your BIOS. Have you done that? Go there and make it the firsrt boot device, then try again.
