this does not work on a 7800gt by the way so don't even try. I took my hsf off for nothing, and as I voided my warranty anyway I used it as an excuse to volt mod and get a zalman vf700cu. clock speeds of 490/1200 on my gt. I didn't vmod my mem. yet though, and I am pushing only .1v. more through my core.

EDDIT. I did voltmod my mem with a pencil, and reached 1370mhz with it, however I didn't feel I could trust graphite. .. . . . . anybody think we can vmod with a flash?

Frankly I'd been doing this for years. I started on my Ti4600, I took doublesided adhesive pad (no zip ties) to slap a fan on a heatsink. But I went a step further. Removed the stock heatsink and threw on a full-size CPU HSF. Then on my 9800 Pro and 6800GT did the same, except with a low profile copper cooler. I used 92mm fan. Worked great.

You guys are latecomers I think I invented this! :)
