Easter egg question

Can Hard boiled eggs be eaten if they haven't been refrigerated in 24 hours? The Easter Bunny has left such eggs hidden all over my house and the kids want to eat them.

as far as i know, you can leave them out if they have been hard-boiled and there are no cracks in them... its never seemed to kill us!

My parents would just get up early and hide them as opposed to leaving them out all night.

I suppose they are already cooked, and are safe from outside bacteria in a shell.
Who is gonna be the guinea pig?

Google works good. 🙂

Highlight is: "If any of the eggs crack, toss 'em, along with those that have been out of the refrigerator for more than two hours. Consider dyeing two sets of eggs: one to be used for hiding and another for eating."

IMO no prob. Do report please, if you still can... 😉

Honestly after boiling there is no problem with them h4x0red eggs.

Well, my 7 year old ate two of them while I was online so I guess we'll see. She says they tasted fine...

Current wisdom say to refrigerate promptly, in the ancient times we used to eat them over a span of several days w/o refrigeration & no ill effects. Believe it, or not!

Cigarettes were also encouraged in 'ancient' times. Regardless, they should not be eaten unless they have only been out of the fridge two hours or less.

Absolutely GeekDew, I agree. I was just pointing out his kid will most likely be OK since she had just eaten a couple.
