East vs. West

Ive lived on the West Coast all my life. Born and raised thier. Living thier currently also. Now from posting on here, ardForum, and ABit Forums, it seems like atleast 90% of the people who post are from the midwest or East Coast. Rarely do I ever run into someone who is on the West Coast. Why is this? We have some of the big companys here (Ex. Intel in Portland,OR Area, Microsoft in Redmond, WA area, Silicon Valley in San Jose, CA and a bunch of companys in the LA area).

Maybe its something simple...I could never figure it out.
