I do find it slightly amusing that a female manager asked this and that it's considered "sexist".

As for the specifics here. Meh. Put one on or find a job that doesn't care. There's always service industry jobs available. Chose your battles, this isn't one to to die over.

I don't see what the gender of the manager has to do with whether it's considered sexist? If they apply the same policy for dudes with visible nippage, then no problem.

My take away is that it's not even a company policy. It's just some tight spun manager that freaked out about it and tried to spin it off as something corporate passed down. Hence my humor that it's one woman taking offense of another whose taking offense of her offense.

I'm just trying to picture this ever happening between two men.

IMO the manager should just leave her alone, unless her breasts are actually showing (not that I would complain).
 
The one pic of her is severely covered up with her arm and it's black so it's entirely hard to tell.

That said, she looks to have a membership at the itty bitty titty committee. Going bra-less is fine to a certain extent, but if she is going around with hard nipples all day it kinda makes your place a bit tacky. Imagine being at a fine steak restaurant and your server is going around with her nipples pointing out everywhere. Do I personally care? No, of course not. But as a manager that is in charge with keeping your restaurant with an image of high class, I would definitely be pissed. The article mentions she has nipple piercings as well. So like I said, if this was Joe's bar and grill, I would probably let it go. If it was a nice family restaurant I would can her stupid ass.

But you know, a woman manager is sexist against her own sex. Makes perfect sense.

Policy or not, no one is mentioning that two customers and a co-worker have complained. If it has the chance for you to lose customers, it's an issue for the business. The manager isn't being sexist, she's dealing with an issue brought to her by 3 separate people.
