There is this stray cat that has been coming around lately and he'll be up at 2am-6am making annoying meows, and I believe they are mating noises. It is extremely annoying to say the least. I can't stand it and I try to shew it away by coming outside and just walking up to it. But it doesn't budge, it'll run away and then return minutes later making the same annoying noise. I don't wish to hurt the cat, just want to get him out of my backyard!!!

Any suggestions? Nothing violent, just something that'll make him gone for good.

TIA

I see. You want your problem solved, but you put restrictions on how. How arrogant of you. I guess i just have to describe "kick the kitty" to somebody who truly wants help.

Goto your local Costco/Sams/BJs and pic up a larger container of red pepper powder or chili powder. spread this generously around the area the cat likes to inhabit when in your yard. Sit back and watch kitty come sniff this when looking for a spot to sit and sing in your backyard.

no more kitty problem.
Been there, done that, watched the cat hit the road quickly.

If you're nocturnal, why does it bother you?
Anyway, my buddy Smith probably knows, but he may have to consult with Wesson.

Have you tried talking to it? Finding out what it really wants, why it keeps coming back? Sometimes if instead of being irritated by it, or scaring it off, you should just calmly ask it what it wants. It obviously has a problem that it thinks you can solve for it. After you solve the problem, it'll go away forever. It might send some of it's friends your way, however.
