buy one of those router + access point devices to replace your current wired only router. A PCMCIA or USB wifi device for your laptop (make sure both devices are talking the same language, either B/G, or A). if you had asked 2 days ago, there was 2 sweet deals at compusa and best buy friday morning for wifi kits that included a router access point and PCMCIA card for $20-$30.
