Easiest way to get XP CD onto a thumb drive?

What's the easiest way to get Windows XP onto a thumb drive? I need to install XP on my netbook which has no CD drive.

Or is there an official ISO from Microsoft (i need Home since that's my CD and key) i could just use or something?

I do have the original CD, but do ISO burning programs burn to thumb drive as well? If so, what's a good free one to make an ISO and burn it to a thumb drive?

You can copy the iso of the CD on your usb stick but the only way to use it is to run it from some OS environment that had a image mounting software to use the image as a CD. I currently use Alcohol 52% Free Edition as it well free and it handles a lot of different image formats. That said you cant get the BIOS to see your iso image so you cant boot it that way. Found this info on creating a small partition to the and copying all the windows install files to it and then you can install from the command prompt

1. format HDD
2. make a partition and use a flash drive to copy the install cd onto it
3. install windows
4. delete partition with the install cd on it
