Easiest way to get audio off of an .mpg into .wav or .mp3 form?

I have a few live videos I want to burn into cd (the music that is), what would be the easiest way?

you can use TMPGEnc and de-multiplex.

Just goto File -> MPEG Tools -> Simple De-multiplex.

Then just load up the MPEG video and run.

I usually use VirtualDub... and it's free. Load Mpeg... "Save WAV..." done
