Easiest remote access/support tool?

My dad and mom both have compromised immune systems so we'll be skipping the visits for at least 2 weeks. My dad always has Mac support questions and it's usually just easier for me to hop on and fix it than try to explain (especially since I don't have a mac to reference).

What's a good online support tool i can use to remote into his system? Something zero-config on the end user's part, I used teamviewer for work but there's no way he could do the initial install (and I'm not sure if windows -> mac is supported). I prefer free of course but will pay if it's super slick

Err if they don't know how to install software, how are you going to remote control?

TV is cross platform.

Team Viewer is what I use as well. If they cant install that, I doubt they will be able to install any other remote access program.

I loved Team Viewer up until the latest debacle last month where they "coincidentally" detected that countless users were using it commercially and limited sessions to only 1 useless minute. I started switching all clients to Anydesk.

At the same time I submitted a support ticket describing my use case and after a fricken week they admitted I was only a home user and reinstated my account. I think it was all a ploy to get people to start paying, because there was zero indication I was in a commercial environment or used commercial assets. At any rate, the answer to the OP's question is TeamViewer, as long as you don't get dinged like I and many others did. Anydesk also does the job but the interface isn't as nice or easy to navigate.
