definitely slot 1 and next running is the LGA775 thanks to no pins on the cpu.

Personally I hated having to push that slot cartridge down, it took a fair amount of downforce and I was constantly paranoid that the slightest bit of off-center angling would cause the dam thing to flop over and snap off the exposed PCB area with the traces for connection to the slot.

LGA775 has been sooooo easy. Optical interconnects could only make it easier, until then we just have to deal with our LGA sockets. Oh the horrors.

Of course 775 had to take a wonderfully easy CPU installaition and kill it with the HSF :(

LoL:)

Socket 1 was very easy but I like LGA775 much better just because of the heatsink applications. You can change them and have better heat removal as opposed to the socket 1. Not the pushpin, the 3rd party style, preferably the tuniq has been my choice....

Of course it would make more poll choices, why totally clip out a entire manufacturer to save room?

What about Socket A, 754, 939, 940/AM2/AM2+ (some of these had different mounting), Socket F,
