It was followed by a few smaller temblors so I doubt that they'll get bigger soon.

Every big earthquake has been preceded by a smaller earthquake.

If you haven't left yet you're basically dead already.

Earthquake in Vancouver too. Was playing Starcraft 2 while my seat was shaking like a mofo for a few seconds. And of course by logic I kept playing...

RIP: Spinning hard drives.

Actually do people who live in earthquake prone areas have to do anything special for that? Or do drives survive it fine?

I'm about 30 mins from the epicenter so we felt it pretty good. Brother said the tv on his desk was shaking pretty good and had to hold it.

Been in West LA for 22 years, so have had quite a few good ones. Never lost a drive to them.

4.3 makes the news go nuts now for the next 30 min to an hour. Having people call in, give reports etc etc. For fucks sake, its a 4.3.

I was home and watching TV when there was a 4.3. The news went nuts. Until a reporter outside of a mall reported that the only damage she saw was someone said their pancake fell off their fork.

Was pretty amazing, I was playing Halo 5 with my nephew that lives in SoCal and heard it happen over party chat. As he started to freak out, I heard a low rumble over his exclamations of fear :) I had a good laugh...
