Thanks for the heads-up on an extra rebate. Already have the demo disc, somewhere. Ordered this game yesterday with the Logitech optical mouse ($25 - $25 = FAR).

Amazon has their usual software rebate promotions running Click Here.

I also picked up:
Classic Four Compilation by Sierra $5 - $10 rebate = paid $5 to buy it
Lord of The Rings game $20 - $20 rebate = free
Total Annihilation Kingdoms $10 - $10 rebate = free
found 10 off 75 at F@twallet, but there are also some 5 off 35 promotions.
Free shipping for $25+ orders.
Edit - fixed dollar amounts for Total Annihilation

Summary for the lazy:

Earth & Beyond 20 - 20 - 10 = -10
Classic Four Compilation 5 - 10 = -5
add something >.02 cents to get over 25$ to qualify for free shipping

19.99 + 4.99 + >.02 = 25.xx - 20 - 10 - 10 = - 15$ (profit)

When does the demo CD rebate expire?

Thanx guys.

The $10 rebate coupon that comes in the mail with the demo expires March 29th must be postmarked by
April 12th. It requires dated sales receipt and proof of purchase cut from manual

Amazon $20 rebate requires copy of packing slip, copy of UPC, and completed
rebate form found on Amazon. rebate expires February23rd:)

I'm looking at the $10 demo rebate form. Nice if we can get it, but I would want to be sure of getting the $20 rebate first, maybe by mailing the $10 one later.

It requires: purchase by March 29 2003, postmarked by 4/12, original rebate certificate, receipt or copy of receipt, "proof of purchase (located in the game manual) no copies will be accepted", "cannot be combined with any other Electronic Arts promotional offer".

Amazon has raised the price to $29.99 less the $20 amazon rebate.
At the higher price you get free shipping = $9.99

Then Use the $10 rebate coupon that comes in the mail with the demo (see link)
and you get the game for FREE.

Of course they still charge that monthly fee for online play:frown:

Amazon is still playing their Game on this one.

They lowered...raised...and now lowered the price again.

Now it's $17.99

$20 Rebate should still be good until 2/23/03

see original post for links:)

Just ordered Earth & Beyond + LotR for $32 shipped.
If everything goes through I should be able to make $17 by the time the rebates arrive.
Thanks!

What is Earth and Beyond?

Earth & Beyond is the first online role-playing galaxy. This galaxy is filled with monsters and strange new worlds, but it is also home to thousands of other players from around the world. Players create unique characters and starships and can affect the galaxy, but the game persists even after individual players log off. Alien encounters, fierce combat, cutthroat commerce, new discoveries, perilous quests, strategic alliances, diplomatic backstabbing, and epic wars await you and the friends you'll adventure with.
Earth & Beyond lets you build your character and career in three distinct ways: exploration, trade, and combat. The game is designed around these three activities, and each race, profession, skill, starship, and item affects how well you do these core activities.

Explorers have access to hidden locales, the best sensors, the most accurate maps, the fastest ships, and stealth capabilities. Tradesmen make and sell goods, run trade routes, go on trade missions, have the biggest cargo holds, and do whatever it takes to make a profit. Warriors thrive on combat, destroying enemies, going on dangerous missions, and protecting their friends during perilous missions.

It's a big galaxy. How far will you go?

$20 Rebate from Amazon is still good for another 3 days!

Electronic Boutiques here in Southern California has the
boxed demo of Earth and beyond for $1.99. Box says there's
a $10 rebate coupon inside the box toward purchase of the full game.

same $10 rebate as in original post (see link):)

A good deal would be to pick up this + the 90 day game card for $49.99 - $20 rebate - $10 rebate = $19.99 for three months of gameplay.

so now i have 120 days of E&B.
the game is great, but it's really killed my productivity. it's a lot of fun and if any of you play, i'm in Andromeda > character - Rickyticky

Oh noooo..... The game sounds exactly like a game I used to play on a Unix network in the mid 80's... I wasted an incredible amount of hours there.... they finally removed the game because all the terminals were being used 24/7 to play that game and no productive work was being done in the computer lab. (Not to mention, it was using up all of the CPU time). It's almost 20 years later... games have gotten much much better in 20 years....

Someone twist my arm and keep me from buying this..

Lord of the rings the game? i'm seeing it on amazon for 29.99-20MIR = 9.99

Well nonetheless i have thought up an alternative plan.

Earth and Beyond 17.99-20MIR = -2.01
EverQuest: Planes of Power 25.99 - 20MIR = 5.99

subtotal = 3.98 - 5 of 35coupon
total = -1.97

I guess u can consider this a good time to get hooked on some mmorpgs...

and hopefully u'll only have to send one mail in rebate since they are on the same form

Pretty fun game for the first 2 months, if you get in the 3 month game card + game deal you probably won't have to invest any more in monthly fees thankfully.
