Did a search, yadda, yadda...

Found the trivia questions on Amazon.com's homepage today.
Answered 4 - made 20 cents.

We're not talking about a lot of cash, but, hey, every little bit helps.

Amazon.com Trivia

We're so excited about what we have to offer that we'll pay you to learn more about Amazon.com! Here's how it works:

1. You must be logged in to your Amazon.com account. (If you do not have a password-protected Amazon.com account, click here to create one?it's free.)

2. Answer the questions that appear throughout our site each day, and we'll add to your Trivia Balance for each correct answer. The amount you can earn will be displayed with each question.

3. Use your balance toward an Amazon.com purchase. (Some restrictions apply.)

We encourage you to suggest a question or send us your feedback. We appreciate your suggestions but regret that we won't be able to respond personally to your e-mail.

Using Your Trivia Balance

Apply your Trivia Balance toward orders at Amazon.com for up to 10% off the final order subtotal. The maximum amount available to you will be applied to your order automatically each time you check out. Any remainder stays in your account and can be applied toward a future order.

Example: If you have a $1 Trivia Balance and make an $8 purchase, you'll save $.80 now, and $.20 remains for your next order.

Example: If you have a $1 Trivia Balance and make a $35 purchase, you'll save $1 now.

If you'd prefer to save your balance for a future purchase, during checkout just click the Change button under the Payment Method heading, located above the billing address on your order summary page.

Restrictions

Your Trivia Balance cannot be used to pay for gift certificates or for products sold by or under the brands of third parties, including, but not limited to, Toysrus.com, Babiesrus.com, Office Depot, Circuit City, Target.com, or Apparel & Accessories merchants, or sold through third-party areas such as Amazon Marketplace, Auctions, or zShops.
If you use your Trivia Balance on a purchase and subsequently return the purchase, you will receive a refund according to our normal policies. However, your Trivia Balance will not be credited.
Unused Trivia Balances expire one year from the date you earned them.
Please read our Official Rules before participating in Amazon.com Trivia.

20 cents? What's your time worth? Want to do the math on how long it took you to collect the princely sum of 2 dimes? I'm betting you're working for about 1/4 of minimum wage. If you got a paper route or started picking through trash cans looking for deposit bottles you'd probably be making more per hour.

actually, i love trivia, and if i'm at work wasting time anyway 1.4 minimum wage is on top of what i'm already making. where's the link? i'm logged in but can't find it.

LOL.
I'm at Amazon everyday, why not click?
I thought the hardcore bargain hunters might be interested.
Not a biggie.

I just got a message from a friend saying she doesn't see it either. I have no clue as to Amazon's algorithm for presenting the promotion. I found it on Amazon's homepage. You might try refreshing your browser?

it would be more profitable to most of us if THIS SITE did the same!
( meaning we're here checking ut the deals several times a day)

well i got the site with the rules, but where are the questions? and i want good trivia questions, i don't care about amazon's site. they pissed me off earlier today.

Took me less than a minute to answer the 4 questions. Do you really watch that much porn that you don't have a minute to spare?

It's not a question about the quantity of porn, it's a question of maximizing the value of the non-porn time. If you want to make money there are better ways than trolling through Amazon to get pennies. Do something with some dignity, like crawling through dumpsters looking for loose change, or rob 10 year olds for their milk money.

If you're walking down the street and see change lying in a wet dirty gutter, what denomination would it have to be for you to bother picking it up? A penny? Unlikely. A nickle? Still probably not. Many of us wouldn't even bother for a dime. It truly is a better use of your time looking through garbage for deposit cans and bottles than it is begging for dimes on Amazon. You'll make more, get money that's usable anywhere and you'll help the planet. That trivia thing all you're doing is helping Amazon. It does give me a few ideas though. Maybe if I taped some dimes to my walls and invited a few people over for a painting party. You get to keep the dime taped to every wall you paint. Or my lawn. There's a dime hidden every few feet, but you need to cut the grass to find it. Damn, why didn't anyone come up with this before? Thank you Jeff Bezos!!!

Um, all you have to do is go to the main page and the questions are there. Is no secret or anything. Herbster didn't design the concept nor did he implement it. He merely gave a heads up since some people might find it interesting...

Got my 20 cents in about a minute (on dial-up, no less). If they decide to offer this everyday, this could add up quick! I check my Gold box everyday anyway.

I finally got the trivia after clearing all my amazon cookies and logging back in. Thanks for the free quarter! 😉

Made another 20 cents today in about 30 seconds (broadband at my parent's house rocks!). I wonder what the maximum amount they'll let you make is?

wow those questions were so hard. took all of 15 seconds.

basically the idea is to try to get you to keep coming back to their site every day.

Dude, stop trolling and crapping on the thread. If you don't want to click through 4 quick easy questions for 20-cents, don't Just stop whining about it on the forum.

And to counter your excuses, I would guess that mowing your lawn would take more time than the 30 seocnds or so the Amazon trivia took. Painting fits them same bill. Stop crapping and just ignore this thread.

For the OP, thanks for telling people at AT. I read about this on another site, and I also had problems getting the trivia to start showing initially, but clearing the temp internet files and deleting the cookies for Amazon allowed it to finally appear.
