If you spend more time on your platform and messaging for the next election rather than consuming the Kool Aid that implies losing the last election means "fascism is coming" then you might actually win next go-around.

There's a little bit of a number of those things happening. However, these things are kinda like Side Effect lists on Drugs, many of these things happen quite regularly without Fascism.

That said Trump has been pushing pretty hard on a few of those. I just don't think he has the ability to pull off a Coup if he wanted to.

It's amusing how many of those points the leftists dominate...

It's amazing to me how many people who claim to be conservative/libertarian support self avowed fascists and white supremacists.

And you keep calling me leftist.

No. No I'm not. Not by a long shot.

The problem is, the far right has been so conditioned by 30 years of far right cult like media they can't even see facts anymore.

The far right and it's cult like media are actually up there with past Thacher with Hitler in the authoritarian area.

I've seen a few variations of this list and they all read like a copy of the standard GOP platform, with the exception of controlling the media. Of course, Trump has shown he has no problem dipping his toe in that particular pool either with some of his comments.

That isn't really helpful, because if you were witnessing the rise of Hitler, for example, I'm sure you'd think it would have been justifiable to employ pretty extreme techniques to stop it. Techniques that might look a lot like fascism.

Yeah. Nothing fights fascism likes fascism.

Frankly, the people looking most like fascists lately are the self-proclaimed anti-fascists.

To people conditioned by the Orwellian right wing cult? Of course. And war is peace, control is freedom, and people who protest against self avowed fascist racists are fascist racists.

Fascism starts with violent mobs in uniform suppressing free speech and ineffectual government permitting it to happen. Guess what that makes ANTIFA?

No, fascism starts with promising to protect nativist social status by lowering that of the other with a militant state. You know, the literal description of a trump rally.

Nope. The SA was organizing violence before they had a cogent, unified message of fascism. Hitler just shaped it into something more powerful once he realized that unchecked illegitimate violence is just as good as politically legitimized violence.
