I know there are thousands of early/absentee voters who have already cast their ballot, is there anyplace to get the results or are those kept quiet until tuesday?

There is no place to see the 'results' until election day. Not because they are being "kept quiet", it's because they are not known yet. The ballots will not be counted until the election.

Ok, thanks. Just curious. There seemed to be some feedback as to the number of D v R in early returns.

I have seen on at least 2 news stations (One was CNN, the other I forget) that dems are outnumbering reps 2 to 1 in early voting... Previous early voting history has reps outnumbering dems 60% to 40% - so thats a pretty big shift... But stilll means nothing until the 4th.

A surprisingly good article considering it's in the Pravda.

I still think the traditionally underrepresented groups (the young and minorities) will be the difference in this election.

You do realize you're talking directly about the core voting group of Senator Obama, right?

Yes, sadly I do.

I saw that too, it was the guy from fivethirtyeight.com on K.O. show I think. IIRC He also mentioned African-American vote was likely to be highest ever by huge margin, *already was in Atlanta?* and that while the young vote wasn't what was expected yet, his generation tends to procrastinate as long as possible.

Mac's representative claimed that "traditional vote" would also be so big that it would negate the impact, but that felt like time to cue up Sinatra with a rendition of :music: Fairy tales can come true...:music: </shrug>
