i've always been really careful about not listening to loud noises, wearing earplugs, avoiding concerts, etc.

but i think i might've caused tinnitus by simply blowing my nose a few weeks ago

i didn't realize that i was so stuffed up, so i blew my nose too hard

BOOM a huge pop happened in my ear, and it was ringing

one stupid little thing and now i'm screwed for life

Don't worry, if you are that easily damaged you probably won't live long anyway.
