Customer of mine purchased an asus EAH4870X2/HTDI/2G to replace his old EAH4870/HTDI/1G which he is using on an 30inch hp monitor.
Swapped the cards out and the new x2 card will not go any resolution higher than 1280x800
Swapped the original card back in and works fine.
Tried uninstalling the drivers. Shut down the machine, installed new card, restarted machine, installed newest drivers from ati and same thing on x2 card. pop the original card in and goes up the the max res fine.
DVI cable is a dual link dvi.
