OP must be either a) Giants fan or b) a sociopath, though arguably, those 2 can be the same thing.

I agree 100%. People like to hate on the QB when the team goes down, but I think alot of the teams problems aren't McNabb. I think right now McNabb is finally getting his knee back 100% judging by his elusiveness. I think him coming back next year is critical, especially if they don't or can't improve the receiver core and some other parts of the team.

Their front office is supposed to be smart but:

I mean gee, they couldn't get a legit #1 receiver in the offseason. Against decent lockdown corners the receivers they have now can't get open.

Missing LJ Smith for most of the season really hurt. Teams key on Westbrook and he still had an awesome statistical year, but having that second safety valve would have helped.

I think they made some personnel mistakes, getting rid of Trotter was a mistake, although is was long in the tooth, he was well suited to the way the defense played.

Kearse, Kearse, hello is Kearse in the building. Talk about going out with a whimper. He has been a healthy inactive the last couple weeks I think. I think he lost a step after the knee injury.

I don't think any of the FA defensive line signings (Von Oelhoffen, Reagor) have worked out worth a damn. What is depth and experience worth if they can't play anymore?

I am probably missing some other problems but my head hurts and can't think anymore.

Oh and he did throw the ball and complete passes to EIGHT DIFFERENT PLAYERS today, so before people spout off their nonsense please check the stats. The offense is predicated on throwing to many different targets. Even when they are scrub targets like Freddie Mitchell, Todd Stinkston, James Trash, etc. The Eagles seemed to win their share of games with McNabb in the lineup.

As rough as things are now, I would anticipate two 4-12 to 5-11 seasons if McNabb doesn't come back.

Rant off.

Boy, I wish my team loses now too!

Wait, that doesn't make sense at all. I'm sure there are a ton of people who hate Randy Moss and TO, but you don't see them wishing their team loses. You're a Giants fan.

The Eagles have had the same problems for the past 8+ years: bad linebackers and receivers. Forgetting about the TO experiment, McNabb has had complete trash to throw to since he was drafted. Our linebackers have always been a big weakness. Need 8-10 yards every play? Throw it across the middle to a TE or decent sized WR.

I remember when the knee injury happened, and I hated seeing it in slow mo about 10 times afterwards when the crew was still "trying to figure out what happened". Knees dont bend that way. If he's completely done, I wouldn't be surprised, but I will be sad.

Looks like LJ Smith hurt his knee pretty badly today. I know he walked off, but he was in a lot of pain.

Amen,

Too bad they didn't clone Seth Joyner when they had the chance.....LOL.

I know TO left a bad taste in peoples mouths, but I wonder how much of not getting a true #1 is being cheap and how much is the ego of the coaches thinking they can win with anybody at WR?

I think The Freak is done. His game was predicated on speed rush coming off the edge. I don't think he imposing enough physically to be a bull or power rushers.
