I pretty much stay to DC but right now I've gotta drop some "scoreboard" in this thread. The better team won, period...

Go Bucs!

Bucs and Raiders. I called it beforehand and am glad these two teams made it. Should be an awesome Super Bowl.

Yep everyone laughed at me when I said Tampa would make it a close game. I didn't expect them to win it, but it just proves how underrated they were coming in. Different team with Gruden over Dungy. To all of you Philly suckas,

Scoreboard Tampa!

Not so fast Sherlock! Tampa's defense is the X-factor. They are going to harass Gannon all day long. The Raiders have won by short passing, then going for the bomb when the defensive backs come up to the line. Tampa's CB's aren't going to bite on the out and up like other defenses.

Tampa wins 20-17 in da bowl.

Unlike you I don't revel in glory that I had nothing tp do with nor do I put my hard earned money on the line if I have no say in the final outcome. Hell the Bucs just might win it, I just don't think they will. Besides, the Bucs kicked the sh!t out of my team last week, the 49ers.

Well I rooted against the Raiders foir the most part of the season, I don't think I'm going to be betting for them now. If the Bucs do prevail it will be because of their defense because their offense shows me nothing. Brad Johnson is just another Tampa Bay Stiff of a QB.

The only way the Raiders are going to win is if they keep throwing the ball to Rice. But seriously, they are going up against the best defense in the NFL. Even the #2 defense couldn't stop the "weak" TB offense. The way the Raiders played the Titans tonight had no heart. The only reason the Raiders won was because of the Titans carelessness at the end of the first half which led to a quick pickup of 10. You can be sure that TB won't make that mistake.

On a side note, did you guys see the reaction on the Eagle players wehn the ball was intercepted wehn teh Eagles got up to the 10 yard line? Hahahaha.

The Raiders created turnovers like a good defense should. What game did you watch?

Well, here I am. I have returned to eat my crow (hence the new avatar)...

Today was a really bad fvcking day for me. It started off with 52 seconds of brilliance. Brian Mitchell ran the opening kick back right down Tampa Bay's throat and then in two plays, Duce ran it right into the endzone...

:D Woohooo!

Unfortunately, however jacked up I may have felt at that moment, it was mostly downhill from there...

:(

The Bucs played a great game today. No one player or play stood out with the exception of Joe Jurevicius' 71 yard TD catch - the obvious turning point of the game... They simply played an excellent TEAM game. My hat goes of to them. They deserved to win the game.

That being said...

I would be a sad, upset and crow eating fan if that were the extent of my gripes with my day. Unfortunately for me, they go a little further.

First, Cris Collingsworth called the game. I wouldn't be surprised if the Tampa Fans thought he was a fatuous blow hard, but his color commentary was just painful to hear for this Eagles fan. It is not that he is a biased commentator - he is not. It is just that what ever scenario is the most obvious or the most dramatic is the one he is blah blah blahing about. It is just annoying to listen to...

Second, is the fact that the refs were blatantly calling the game against the Eagles. It wasn't every play, but there were a BUNCH of really bad calls and ALL of them went against the Eagles.

Once again,... :(

I am not making excuses. The Eagles lost and the Bucs earned their win. I am just bitter because an already sh!tty situation was made worse by a blow hard and a blind one eyed zebra.

I will stick around in this thread for another hour or so to reap what I have sown - I am a good sport. After that, I am looking forward to next year - the NEW season of destiny...

That's funny, I had the same feeling when watching the Falcons-Eagles game last week on the Eagles Board (also said of course Falcons fans will feel this way and Eagles fans won't), but then the Eagles fans blasted me and said some things (uh... never mind) but I went and took a visit to the Eagles board earlier today and they were all over the officials, I said something and again they said some things... ;)

If I wasn't in such a beer and whiskey induced tailspin, I'd be more specific on the bad calls. Unfortunately, I am right now lucky to type without a typo every other word...

Once again...

It sucks to see bad officiating but i didn't realy notice anything that made me question the outcome of this game. Eagles pretty much just got beat. I wanted them to win too.

You're killing me.. Bad calls? How lame... Name ONE bad call - you can't.

Good to see you visit the thread and own up, but with the blathering about the "bad" calls, it diminishes your submission..

THe Feebles are our BITCH's..

Let's do a little comparing - QB's only, since you thought Brad Johnson was such a "pussy" (Today's Playoff game)

NET YARDS PASSING:
Brad Johnson 259
McNabb 232
WINNER: Brad Johnson

YARDS PER PASS:
Brad Johnson 7.8
McNabb 4.5
WINNER: Brad Johnson

PASSING TD'S:
Brad Johnson 1
McNabb 0
WINNER: Brad Johnson

Should I go on?

Your Eagles were OWNED today. In the future, make sure you mouth doesn't write checks your ass can't cash..

I too, look forward to next year, driving your club into the ground.

I never said the bad officiating affected the outcome - it didn't. It just served to rub salt in open wounds.

And for a third time:

Well Eagles had a good season and I like your team. I just don't understand your fans (talking about getting rid of Mcnabb and most of the people were agreeing on the board and say take Reid with him. It hurts now but hopefully they'll come to their senses). I just hope this Super Bowl is as exciting as the OSU-Miami National Championship was.
