Does anyone here have an eagle talon tsi???

If so, have you ever had any problems with it??

What kind of problems???

Any known issues???

Any opinons on the AWD vs. 2WD reliabilty wise???

I'm thinking of getting one, something like a 1990-1992. But I'd like to know if it's likely to fall apart. I drove one the other day at work, it was damn ass fast. Looks pretty cool too.

I used to have a '91 Eagle Talon Tsi and I really enjoyed it....I got 165K miles out of before it got totaled :( Though mine didn't experience it, I've heard that the Talons and Eclipses of that era were prone to electrical problems.

EDIT: Go check out a car site such as Edmund's or Consumer Reports to get the low-down on any problems...hope this helps.

these cars must be taken care of very carefully and not abused. The bottom end is very strong, and many peepz like to raise the boost :) hence premature wear.

Also the air cleaner must changed frequently and oil changes must be done on the TEE of every 3K miles, if not, expect woes and trouble!

i like these cars a lot :) but the troubles i've seen :)

A good friend of mine is a mechanic at a Dodge dealership, and he claims the #1 vehicle as far as costly repairs go is Eagle Talons.

Apparently the timing chains on the Talons quite often go shortly after warranty.

Make sure to run the car through a car wash before you buy it. They all tend to leak water, and the windows are difficult to adjust.

They are a great car but must be well maintained at all levels. Repairs will bankrupt a rich man. If you are away from a dealer they are very hard to get someone to work on them if they break.

Yeah, my timing belt broke TWO DAYS before I was scheduled to take the Talon in to have it replaced! Fortunately, the timing belt was under a recall at the time (whew!!) so all the repairs were free.
