I can't get it to read my disc! It keeps saying not an audio CD and all, so I downloaded the Adaptec ASPI thing and I think I installed it right, but it had a screwey install for XP. It should work now right? Wrong. Still won't read the thing. I know it works on here too, because I had it working before I formatted.

Ok, I ran the ASPI instillation verification and this is what it said:

-------------------------------------
WNASPI32.DLL 4.712(0)
WINASPI.DLL N/A
ASPI32.SYS 4.712(0)
WOWPOST.EXE N/A
-------------------------------------

I'm guessing this means I don't have it installed right? Does anyone know where to get an easy to install ASPI layer?

edit: Ok, now everything is saying version 4.60 (1021). EAC still isn't reading it, though. :(

You don't need to install an ASPI layer in WinXP. You should be able to use the Native Interface in EAC->EAC Options->Interface.

Well I got pissed off and I do what I always do when I get pissed off at my computer, reformat! Didn't have anything on it anyways. :p

I have WinXP home, which version of EAC should I download? They have a new one but it says it is a prebeta.

Edit: Holy sh!t! it worked!!! :D:D:D

Like I said, formating fixes everything!
