I bought BFBC2 from the ea store/ea downloader. If I install it and play online etc. can I still sell the key later on? Or is it tied to my account like a steam kind of thing? Can you deactivate the key from one username to another or ?

The key is tied to the account.
This. I found out the hard way. I figured it sent you a key you attach to the account later, but it does not. It automatically attaches it to the account you create/log in with when you purchase it.

Which means I have to contact EA and see if they can fix it or refund me. No point in having two BC2 keys on one account.

You should pretty much assume at this point that anything purchased 100% digitally is 100% tied to your unique account, except for things with Impulse's GOO attached.

You can add games you didn't buy on steam to the steam client.

sort of

you can launch any game from the steam client ( AFAIK)

some games can be added to your account with a key, others cannot

it really depends on the game

Yeah, it has to be a supported game in order to download it on Steam using a CD key and have Steam automatically update it. You can already download bad company 2 on Steam, but I guess Steam won't automatically update it or something. I wonder how match making works on bad company 2 on steam since it's not a supported game, I wish they would just make it a steam works supported game.

Here is the list of supported games:

FYI: On chat support with EA right now. These guys are downright rude. Will update when we get this figured out.

Edit: Okay, so according to EA support, there is only one option if you end up with more than one key on your account. They'll refund you and that's it.
