EA settles overtime lawsuit with $15 million payoff

This is for a whole group of people. EA was in the news before because they'd force their people to work 80+ hour weeks and only pay them their 40hr/week salary. I'm glad the court sided with the employees.

Good news but...
The USD 15.6 million payment will be distributed amongst all class members and their lawyers.

WTF, you thought they'd do it for FREE??

Sheesh, if a doctor performs surgery on you, somebody is gonna get paid...right?

Yeah I work consulting and i'm used to 60-70 hour weeks for maybe a month straight. But I was reading the EA-Spouse article and that's just plain disgusting. Requiring employees to work 80-90 hours for months on end with absolutely no overtime is damn near sweat-shop status.

EA is wonderful??? :Q

funny, a friend of mine worked for EA for a while and he showed up late and only a couple of days a week for a total work week of 10-15 hours and then would turn in his time sheet with 10-20 hours of overtime and got paid for it, lol.
