I'm not you. I can't support shitty corporations. That would put a nagging sensation in the back of my skull that I wouldn't easily shake off. Also, I'm not putting game-breaking spyware on my rig.
How exactly is it game breaking? I click on bf3 it opens. Wow that just broke the game.
Neither do I, but it's pretty clear that you wanted me to elaborate on my EA games boycott, and so I did. And if you knew you were going to be intellectually insecure about someone's honest (and asked for) opinion, then you should have ended your cheap shot at disgruntled gamers of a post with "Don't reply with anything challenging; you may lie instead" or something. I'm sure I would have obliged.I don't personally care what you buy or don't buy but I don't think you are right to say that your opinion and personal boycott of EA makes you some kind of boy scout and everyone who buys Bf3 because it is a good game is somehow evil or stupid.
...Yeah...So...?We are all free to spend our money where we want.
Well, I did want this game. Been waiting for it for uh... several years.
I guess EA thinks getting zero sales is better than getting $40 for it.
Not gonna bite.
EDIT: LMAO! wow... just wow.
Double edit: Ok, this is the deluxe version. Regular is $59 just realized. Still, I'm done paying $60 on games. I've wasted too much money on shit this year.
We are all free to spend our money where we want. I am just telling you my side. I bet you have shopped at Walmart too haven't you? You cannot always avoid our so called "evil corporations". I enjoy games enough that I am willing to pay full price for what i deem as quality. I don't think EA really gives a crap if some guy thinks they have to boycott. They sold millions anyway.
I have a feeling that some Games and their Publishers/creators get a nice buttload of Cash when these Sales happen. A lot of people will pick up games on these Sales that they likely wouldn't even consider buying normally. I'm sure there are some people who purposely put off buying New Titles and instead wait for a Steam Sale, some might even just be cheap bastards who could easily afford Full Price, others might be to broke to justify Full Price, but I suspect those who were not even interested is a fair chunk of Steam Sale sales.
Recently I have snagged a couple games on Steam I normally would never have considered. 1 was approx 80% off, the other approx 90%. 1 of them I would have been furious to pay full price for as it was really poorly made, the other was a Budget title to begin with (regular price $15)that I normally wouldn't have given a second look at. The Developers didn't get much from those Sales, but at least they got those Sales.
I agree, if you really want to play a game and don't mind paying $60 for a digital copy then have fun.
But as I said earlier their "no big sales" policy is going to keep me from trying new games, and keeping them off of Steam is going to make it even harder to convince me to buy others. Bat's comment that we'll all give in to the new shiny despite our comments here just isn't true, at least for me. I can hold my breath a loooong time
Maybe if EA rethinks their pricing and offers ME3 at a really good price on Origin then someday I might even jump through the hoops to get it there. Maybe.
9 out 10 people in this thread will buy EA's next big budget, high profile, Origin exclusive title.
You'll have to ask the scores of unsatisfied costumers trashing the client; I deleted it not long after I had to spend hours getting Crysis 2's hires and dx11 patches to install, so I may not have the most comprehensive experience.

...Yeah...So...?

I like sales too but as I said I dint feel that $60 is that much for some titles.
Now you're just being a d-bag.
I never said you lied anyway.
Its not a cheap shot at all but your high and mighty attitude is unappreciated.
If you want people to be polite, don't qualify their dissatisfaction with something as "nerd rage".
How much goes to the publisher, and how much does valve keep? Is it 50/50? Even at 50/50 I would have to assume that a sudden influx of over $300,000 would be a welcome thing for an almost ten year old game for any publisher.
It's always the naive, lazy, undereducated and YOUNG that proclaim there's nothing wrong with EA games policies and practices. To many people ignorance is bliss I presume.
If you clicked OK on the EA games and or Origins EULA then you agreed to get ass pumped by EA games unwittingly or otherwise and without any lube.If that is the case, then I wish I agreed with EA's policies. I wish that I was young.
