EA makes a loss of $45 mil previous quarter.

The have lost that much since 2008, but they still have over a billion in cash, positive working capital and made money for the FY2012.

Maybe they should stop making awful cookie cutter video games and go back to making, you know, innovative stuff.

They lost less money on smaller overall volume. So the less they sell the less money they lose. Maybe they need to make their games even crappier and sell fewer copies.

Good! EA the absolute worst thing to ever happen to PC gaming and anyone who thinks otherwise is either an idiot or not a PC gamer. I dont often blanket statement like that but when it comes to EA i make an exception 😛

If you treat you customers like dirt with DRM you are going to sell less games. Its well and good having no pirates but if you still don't make money well then the question becomes what is it you should be doing. Clearly sequel after sequel isn't working.

I feel the same way, EA cant fold soon enough IMO.

Hard to feel bad for a company that makes NCAA football so shitty. And a teambuilder team with an indoor stadium is affected by the weather. Yeah, a team that plays in a dome will show cold breath and coaches wearing winter jackets in late season games. Nice QA dipshits.

I wonder how many good ideas get eliminated at EA daily. I bet its alot. EA needs to split up into a few companies and ditch the name. Maybe then the good DEVs can actually start making good games. This situation is getting stupid.

Someone said it best, EA is like the anti-Midas, everthing they touch turns to shit.

I bet the loss is paper only, im sure the higher ups all made oodles of bank

EA turned a lot of studios to garbage with their policies. I liked ME1 but am still holding out for a ME2 GOTY edition. No I will not buy your stupid DLCs piecemeal. No I will not use Origin if I can at all help it.

This is one popular sentiment about EA I just do not get.
Blizzard games require battle.net, steamworks games require Steam. How is Origin any different...

Because EA has engendered zero good will with me over the years for me to tolerate such bullshitery.

If there's one thing these threads teach us, it's that this forum doesn't know jack about money in a big business.

thank you. i've already pointed out EA's working capital and cash flow strengths and there are still people posting that they expect EA to fold. smh.

The only people who fold are the underlings when they get thrown out because "we didn't make a profit" Corporations are trash.
