Ea has no games in the works for Wii U

As pointless as watching UFC on your xbox is, but you cream your pants for that one.

Here's EA's issue. Nintendo isn't the market with the bro-gamers who will fork out $5.99 for every DLC pack they can come up with and they cannot push Origin to the system for their DRM and advertising space.

once again, spouting nonsense. it's just a given when you reply now a days.

it is 100% obvious that you are a blind fanboy at this point and nintendo can never do you wrong.

Wrong, maybe you're just getting old and your memory sucks now but I bashed the WiiU when it was released. Said it sucked etc etc. Seriously just go read the WiiU announcement threads. Then I got one and you know what? It's fun to play.

Fun...something you may be unfamiliar with in today's gaming world.

So again you fail

In the other thread he stated "imagine playing Sonic Adventure at the quality of Mario Galaxy." I am offended someone would want to degrade Sonic Adventure's quality to that of Mario Galaxy. =(

Thw Wii U is only 6 months out of the Door and yet some idiots are already spouting Wii U Fail . when the PS360 came out it took more then 6 months for the system to start shining both in games and the system but the Wii U is doing just fine

some of you make it sound like Nintendo will go broke tomorrow that wont happen Nintendo has enough money that they could have a massive Flop on ther hands for 50+ years and still have money in the bank

and EA did try the FSB2 engine on the Wii U http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2...s-out-on-15-ea-games-using-frostbite-engine-3

DICE technical director Johan Andersson explained on Twitter that the Frostbite 2 engine wasn't running well on the Wii U, so it decided to abandon efforts to get its successor on Nintendo's latest console. "FB3 has never been running on WiiU. We did some tests with not too promising results with FB2 & chose not to go down that path," he wrote.

And yet they can get it running and has had it running on the 360 that is inferior in m any ways to the Wii U and now they siad they will make FB for mobiles ands yet they cant get it running well on Wii U that there is just pure laziness Also FB3 engine will work on 360 and Ps3 so i dont see why it cant on Wii U oh thats right more laziness

This is likely not the best thread for this part, but while we're discussing engines, I've read that Epic tested Unreal Engine on the Wii U as well. UE4 was out of the question officially, and UE3 can barely run. When one of most ported engines is a no-show for a platform, as developers transition to UE4 only, what is really left for third-parties besides Unity?

Well Sonic is Nintendo exclusive now. =( I guess I will be missing out on the next Sonic abomination they try and sell me.

From what I read, SEGA has only signed on to develop three Sonic games for Nintendo. Also, VGLeaks is reporting that one of them might be a kart racing game with Sonic and Mario. Sonic All-Star Racing Transformed is a really good kart racing game, but my only worry would be that Nintendo would want it to be more forgiving like Mario Kart has become.

Agreed, thoroughly worthless.

That is obviously not true. What is true is that if the Wii U becomes a clear failure it's most likely Nintendo will never make another TV console again. Every console counts for every manufacturer, no matter what their prior success was.

To be fair, this guy has a point. Wii U has sold like 3.5 million units I think, and it took the 360 a year to move 1.5 million units. However, it was the first console to hit 10 million.

People seem to have short memories - the PS3 launch didn't exactly go well and it turned out just fine.

ps3 had the success of ps2 behind it so people had faith in it. while the wii sold great and had record sales for hardware, the 3rd party software sales were shit. so they don't really have a track history for 3rd party devs selling a ton of titles behind them at this point.

but me personally, if i ever get a wii-u, it will be 100% for nintendo games and not 3rd party games.

Eh. Not really a comparable situation. The PS3 was at least a match in power to the most powerful competing console of that generation. That means it pretty much stayed on even footing with the xbox360 throughout it's lifespan. The PS3 had the luxury of coming into it's own as it's game catalog grew and Sony was able to slowly bring the price down. The WiiU can't do that. It's only got tougher times to look forward to as the other next gen consoles come out and it finds itself unable to compete on any front at all.

Even the original Wii tapered off after the initial glut of sales because it simply didn't have the staying power that the other two systems did. In hindsight, the pattern the sales took for the original Wii were inevitable, and the WiiU is positioned similarly to where the Wii was relative to the other consoles, except it isn't selling like the Wii did. Basically if the WiiU starts off weak, it probably doesn't have anything like the PS3's late game rally in it's future, but rather a steady tapering off just like the first Wii.

Honestly this is kind of sad. I have fond memories of Nintendo from my childhood and thought they would always do well. Question: if the wii U is a complete flop, will this be enough to take Nintendo out of the hardware game?

i'd hope so. imagine a zelda or mario game on the next gen?

No because the Wii U will not be a Flop cause you have first party games that many will play and we still have some good Developers who actually love the Wii U and is working with it one of the Big ones is Ubisoft who are brining some big AAA titels to the Wii U including Watch-Dogs Splinter Cell and many others so no

Wii U As of 31 March 2013, Nintendo reports 3.45 million units have been sold worldwide ok now that is just in the first 6 months that if i rember right is more then the 360 and PS3 at the same time in ther first year . i think the Wii U is doing fine and more games are on the way

i for one am looking forward to Splinter Cell and Watch-Dogs just Remember we are only 6-months in to the Wii U it be different if we was almost 2 years in to it and had only the sales # we had
