true. guess cause the game is so good ppl still play it. while i suppose they don't have the resources to keep the servers running for every game, giving a game a deadline of a year is really going to lower sales.

I don't play any of those but would be pretty pissed if they were shutting it down if I did play one. It reflects poorly upon them too, a game for the year 2005 should NOT have its servers shut down in 2006.

bah to all of you... you must not even play these games.

Madden 2005 came out in 2004, just like Madden 2007 comes out this month in 2006.
Many of these games have been out for 2 years, and not just 1.

Most games only have a life cycle of 2 years anyways, and it costs money to keep servers up and running. Servers often need to be taken offline to make room for newer servers to allow service for new online games.

bah to the whiners.

more reason to make you go out and buy the same game again next year.

can anyone seriously tell me what changes are made between madden 2005 and 2006? other than maybe an occasional graphic update or players and teams, what the hell else do they have to change. seems like such a rip off to me.

OMG wow...let me get my wallet!

This move just smacks of EA saying "not only do we expect you to buy the same game every year, we're now turning off your old one so that you have too"

2005 is good and 2006 isnt. There are a lot of changes, if you actually tried the game. :disgust:

Anyway, a good friend of mine is amazing at madden, but every year, his rank fluctuates because the game becomes different to play. In 2004, he was unstoppable with Vick and the flacons because scrambling was easy, and last year, he was dominant with the eagles and their pass/rush offense, but not as much as with the falcons the previous year. And for 2006, he really fell off cause of that sh1tty new QB vision thing. THat sucks major ass.

And I used to destroy people in Rushing Attack before they brought that stupid truck stick and took away the playmaker control :(:(:(

how about instead of insulting me or trying to "pwn" me, you actually answer the question?
i don't like sports. why would i waste my money on the game? and it was a serious question. what changes between each year of the game?
