I think $299 for the E8500 is a tad steep for extra 1/2 multiplier !!

Should be more like $250 to $260 IMHO

I usually go for the lowball (E8200 in this case) but $10 to step up 333MHz...

I may just find myself in the market soon.

Now how about some inventory & aggresive pricing on Q9450..
Get Some !!!

Ol'Pal :D

No kidding. I sat on my hands when Q9450 and X3350 were in stock most places for $350, now there all gone.

I'm wondering now if I should just go for one of these Q6700... someone PLEASE CONVINCE ME to do this rather than paying $380 for a Q9450 from tankguys. I'll be primarily gaming, but like the idea of have a cooler/lower pw chip.

chiefvalue has the same deals but you can use that coupon to get $9 off. That's how I ordered mine.

Only downside i see is the 45nm vs. 65nm fab process which = more heat on the Q6700 but it's truely hard for me to hold off of this one.... Save around $100 to save a little power & heat .. i dunno !!

I feel the E8400 price & the Q6700 are the best bang for the $$$ going right now !!
So that's what i'm recomending to friends & buildees !!

I'd like to recomend Tom's to compare performance of cpus, but they're changing to new site look & charts aren't quite working properly !! it seems...
