My shipping was $11 and change making the grand total was a few bucks less than I could find it anywhere else... besides, do you see new egg or zzf posting here? I'd pay $10 more for that kind of customer service.

 
I'm still torn between the e8400 and a quad core for my new (mostly) gaming rig. causing a huge headache.
 
If your gaming, just get the dual core E8400. If your doing a lot of CPU intensive work such as video editing, then get the Quad.

I just ordered one from them, hopefully they still got some stock, 208$ shipped for an E8400 seems pretty good to me.
 
We do. About 30 left or so right now, I'd guess. Selling really fast the last few days since lots of other places are OOS now.

They work just fine, just some dont give correct temp reading with various softwares
iIts practically impossible to smoke an intel core2duo - espec the 45nm
Personally, I really could care less, and I dont know if I have one with a "defective" temp diode, since I am waiting for the X48 boards.
If you like READ the whole article thingy, some work after a certain temp is achieved, some dont work at all - keep temp at one setting.
No biggie, tho once this info gets around the poor dealers will be getting RMA's up the ying yang - heh.

Of course you could always just WAIT a few weeks
