E7300 with Freezer 7 Pro running at 36c on idle - help

Cpu-z indicates its also running at just 1.6 ghz due to x6 multiplier, but the temps are around 35,36,37 idle even wen its at x10 or 2.66 ghz...

Its on a Asrock P45xe mobo
Corsair 620hx psu
Antec 300 with 2 120mm fans at front, one 120mm exhaust at rear and one 140mm exhaust on top....

from wat ive read the E7300 should be at around 25-26 idle with most aftermarket coolers..

Can someone suggest anything i should try? Ambient Temps is around 28 degrees C, and its summer/ im from Australia..

thanks for any help

So you are 7-9 degrees higher than ambient AND you have three temp monitoring programs giving different temp readings. Who knows what the actual Core temp is?
In my opinion, 8 degrees above ambient is not bas at all.

yea theyre all giving different readings but are all above wat i read for other's cpu temps using the freezer 7... i'll see how it goes when ambient temp is lower

thanks for reply CoachB

Put those two statements together. Unless you're using an active cooling system (like water cooling), your CPU will never be 3 degrees below the ambient air temperature even when the system is turned off. As CoachB said, a few degrees above ambient at idle is perfectly fine. What are your temperature readings when the system is under full load?

using orthos for around 5 minutes the cores got to around 55 - 56 degrees, CPU ranged from 39 to 43 - Is that alright? if its not obvious already this is my first build 😛

thanks for reply

To Hondata,

I would not worry a bit, as long as you keep well under the 63.4C probable intel red line for that chip under full load, you have no worries at all.

You can google the e7300 CPU and get the exact intel specifications. And its only after you exceed that red line that chip life expectancy even starts to drop.
