anyone have any idea when newegg will start having the e6750 in stock?
I want to buy it, and I know the price drop is the 22nd, but just curious ;)

The 22nd is not only the date of the price drops, it's also the official release date of the E6x50 processors, so newegg should be selling them starting at 12:01 am tonight.

NewEgg is PST-based, so I'm betting that the stock will come in at 00:01 PST time. If you order on Sunday, chances are your order will ship out on Monday (though I can't be sure).

csmaster2005: you should look at picking up that Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3P (P35C if you're interested in DDR3, but it will cost more). I got mine for $130 shipped. The DDR3 version is about $30 more, though, but since you have 4gb of RAM already, you probably aren't too interested in DDR3, no?

ya I expected it to ship monday, not sunday. Hopefully it'll be the $183 price, or close to it, not the $200 or so other places are charging now.

Aflac - why do you recommned the DS3P over the DS3R I showed? (where'd you get yours for $130 shipped? newegg has it for $150+shipping)

And no, I dont think I care about ddr3 currently, I just got the 4gigs of ddr2, I doubt I plan to upgrade it anytime soon, and I'll probally rebuild the computer again in 1-1 1/2 years like I always do, and I'll grab a new mobo then.

I doubt it'd sell out, especially in the first day or so (that is, if you are planning on buying it tonight)
I really hope neweggs price isnt bloated.. I just saw a thread in the hot deals section for a E6750 - for $240 an microcenter. that is WAY overpriced...

i'm central too and i'll be asleep by then because i have work tomorrow. as for the mobo, probably the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R, the one you posted earlier. I'm not quite sure why the DS3P is better. maybe for OC but i dont plan on doing that.

The DS3P has two PCIe x16 slots. Although the second is only x4. I think if you crossfire two they will each be x8,
but can't quickly confirm. It seems not.
Third paragraph from Anandtech review. Would think it applies to all p35 boards.

Come Monday I think prices will be better. More places will have updated their listings. And then assuming supply is plentiful the prices will come down as competition kicks in. These days I don't trust NE. They been known to price gouge when given the chance. Once all the other places start listing though NE will fall into line too.

It's sunday. Intel won't even make the announce til tomorrow. So, newegg and others will probably have them available tomorrow too.

Mwave has them available. If you guys are in a hurry and live near Mwave facility, you can order today and pick it up before noon tomorrow. :D
