I'm getting ready to order an E6700 from New Egg. Is it okay if it sits on my front porch for a couple of hours with temps in the teens? Or do I need to make sure I'm home when it's delivered?
 
yeah, you should be more worried about it getting stolen than it getting damaged.

the cpu will not get hurt sitting outside even if it's -50 outside 🙂
 
I'd be more worried about it getting stolen. It could be 100f out side and the CPU would be fine.
