I'm having slight problems with my system in my sig. Running a Zalman 9500 at stock speeds creates temperatures above 60C on load. The Voltage is about 1.3.

Changing the Zalman to its highest fan speeds only drops the temperature 5 degrees, to a bit below 60. This is extremely irritating, as it seems that I have no room to overclock... Do you guys have any tips? I'm kind of an overclocking every bit will help! :)

EDIT: This is a revision B2 processor. Does that batch have any know issues with overclocking or temperatures?

these guys heat up more then the A revision, from my experience.

The CPS-9500 isnt a very great cooler anymore. They get overpowered by tuniqs, and even the 9700 has a hard time keeping up with the TDP of a OC'd C2D.

Have you tried to remount the hsf? sometimes, a simple remounting can help temps.

Also, have you lapped your CPU?

Lapping can help drop your temps almost as much as 5-6C.

Finally, do you have good flow though your case?

besides the lapping, the other advice might not get you any increase. If you have the budget, get a bigger cooler, like a IFX-14 from thermalaright, or a tuniq tower.

Your only other option is to water it.

Then your temps will be near mine depending on your budget and parts. :p
But this option should only be concidered after you done research, and your prepared for it. And please come back to me if you are for advice. I'll shoot you in the right direction for water if you decide on that.

Lastly, this post belongs in the case and cooling section. We have pro's on air coolers over there that can assist you even more.
