I used to upgrade once a year, but now that I use the 360 for gaming, it helps me resist plopping down serious moolah on these upgrades (however tempting they may be 😛)
 
There is a $15 promomotional code that I don't think I'm supposed to post on here (for new customers take $15 off any purchase over $200) but you can google for. That plus free shipping makes for one sweet deal.
 
The $15 off and free shipping worked fine for me...To get the free shipping you have to change it from standard shipping to budget shipping
 
At the risk of sounding like a complete idiot ... I've been trying to place an order for the 6600 on buy.com and when I try and checkout I'm getting cyclic "click here to check out" links. I can't for the life of me figure out if I've ordered and if so if I've ordred 1 or 2 or 3 (I only want one ... I swear.)

At not point have I seen anything to lead me to believe an order has been sent ... anyonse else experience anything like this? I did just create the account could that have something to do with it?

I really didnt want to ask such a simple question in a public forum but at this point frustration has won out over pride. Thanks.

I don't think it's the purchase portion that buy.com has a problem. I've bought from them too. Takes a bit longer then say newegg or some other places, but still ships in a reasonable time (I think Amazon is the worst here sometimes).

It's usually their customer service that i see complaints about. I don't know, my orders have came with no problems. Newegg's Customer service is where Newegg excels. Savae for a few bad apples, their CS is exemplary.

While buy.com's CS may be less than stellar, they refunded my money like their website said it would after I requested an RMA online. They weren't super speedy about it but it all worked out in the end.

And I haven't really had any real problems-the only time I called up was when I couldn't find my order history for a PSU I had bought and wanted a receipt for warranty use. Except it was probably kinda my fault for forgetting which e-mail address I had used to buy it. BTW this was an Antec PSU, and no, Antec wouldn't do the repair without a receipt or at the very least a credit card bill (and sadly I couldn't find it on my old american express bills and gave up since requesting bills from every CC my mom had would have been a pain).

BTW Buy.com's free shipping doesn't apply top out of stock items which is why you guys are seeing a charge for shipping.
 
I dont even know if my order went through. After I put in the credit card info and shipping info I click to place to order and it takes me back to my shipping card! No emails, no order history, nothing!

Well I got the $15 off coupon to work but I'm not seeing free shipping. On the checkout page there is no "Budget Shipping" unless I'm totally blind. There's only Standard ($6.43), Second Day ($11.69), and Next Day ($17.70). Again I can't see Budget Shipping anywhere.

What am I missing?
 
Budget shipping should be above Standard in the list. If you're getting the cycling back to your shopping cart when you try to finish your order take note of any red text that appears under the coupon, probably saying you don't qualify for it for whatever reason their system came up with.
 
I just signed up with a new email account to get this and budget shipping was not an option for me, there was no red text saying that I didn't qualify either as in my cart it took the $15 off but the only shipping options were the same as what Maasracer had.
 
I just called up CS and I was told that the cycling was due to the fact that the 15 dollar coupon I had in the cart was not valid for items that "usually ship in 1 or 2 weeks" only for in stock and pre order items. CS told me that I would be able to place the order without the coupon.

How did everyone else get the 15 dollar coupon to work?
 
Placed order yesterday. I had to remove the coupon. 🙁

Is everyone elses status for their order "Sent to warehouse" ?

Does this mean their warehouse has the CPU's?

Still waiting and they have no estimate on when its coming back...their website said it was in stock yesterday, but they quickly denied it when I called them on it.
I think they just dont wanna sell it to me for ~$320 when it's marked as $389 now.
