E6420 overclocking

On the bios on my Motherboard I'm running my E6420 with a CPU multiplier of 8 and a FSB of 400mhz 8.0 x 400 = 3.2ghz CPU speed. Problem is when I run CPU-Z it says my multiplier is 6.0X. What gives?

Disable "C1E enhanced halt state" and "Enhanced Intel Speedstep Tech." in BIOS.

These features lower the multiplier as a measure to reduce the power consumption.

Or if your system is stable you can leave it as is. Your CPU will ramp up to 3.2ghz while under load, then throttle to 2.4ghz when the CPU is idle.
