OK I managed to get it to 3ghz with this annoying vdroop but it can't seem to go past except when setting it on auto but I get temps of almost 70c on auto

When I try to push my cpu past 3ghz, I keep getting blue screens/windows won't boot problems
Apparantly my motherboard (ASUS P5k Vanilla) has a huge vdroop, when I set the voltages to about 1.35 in biox, CPU-Z reads 1.312, and abou 1.28-1.29 under load. Does anyone know how to fix this? Should i raise the voltages even more?

8x400 with PC6400 memory. +.2 on NB and GMH, 1.45 vcore (good cooling) 2.0 divider and turn off all the C1E and etc.. disable all of it.

Should get you 3.2 easy. If its stable, then try lowering the vcore until its not stable.

You can hunt around on XS (www.xtremesystems.com) for a vdroop pencil mod; might be one, i can't recall.

But that's nothing for vdroop.

I get basically a full 0.1V drop from what's set in the bios to what's utilized under load :(

1.5V bios = ~ 1.45V idle = ~ 1.41V load

ok I got a stable overclock at 3.04 ghz
My temps are about 65 max with prime 95 and my memory is still at stock timings but frequency is now 914

I boosted voltages to about 1.4 around there and its stable but kinda hot
Think I could go further?
