Well my e6300 wont budge. at 1.3125 Vcore . and 2.0V on RAM. FSB wont go further than 370? currently on stock cooler. but reapplied with AS5. should be good for a while until i decide to get a perfect heatsink. And I'm using a P5B . not deluxe. any suggestions anyone? B2. Stepping 6. Damn these things. i want some Stepping 5. hehe.greatly appreciated if anyone can give me some advise. (trying to hit 2.8Ghz) . Oh i'm using Pc2-5300 4-4-4-12 @ 686Mhz. 1:1 ratio.

I have the same setup eklipze, the base P5B/E6300 with PC5300 ram. The sweet spot for my system is 470FSB. I set the vCore at 1.3875v in the bios, which shows up as 1.325v in the monitoring programs, due to Vdrop. All other settings are kept on Auto. I use the stock enabled memory timings as my system will not boot with manually set ram timings. I use Memset to set the timings at 5-5-5-12, which is very stable on Auto ram voltage, (or you can set the ram voltage to 2.1v in the bios).

By raising the vCore to 1.55v in the bios (and the Termination voltage at 1.45) the system runs fine at 525FSB x 7 = 3675 Mhz, but my cpu gets too hot at that voltage due to my medium-grade cpu heatsink.

I have the ThermalRight MST9775 cpu heatpipe cooler. It's benefits are that it has a downfacing 92MM fan which is fairly quiet, it is designed specifically for LGA775 and it is moderately priced. This configuration may help cool other m/b components. The main detraction is that this is a really crummy cooler. At 470FSB x 7 my C2D cores idle at 48C. Fortunately under load, core temps only go up to 58C and max out at 65C with TAT 100% cpu test. I would not recommend this heatpipe to anyone. Stick with the stock unit or buy a Freezer7 for the same money if you must. Or better yet spend an additional $25 and buy a Tuniq Tower or Ultra 120 and be done with it.

Wow your Temps are like mine with AS5. LOL. mine are even better. but its wearing off now. Well i guess my other choice is the Freezer since i like the installation technology. i hate adding a bracket at the back , plus. removing the motherboard is a hassle.
