I will NOT overclock.
Which CPU would overall be best bang for buck? I always wanted a C2D but... 4600+ looks like a great deal (cept for power consumption).
Did not choose a E4300 because the price is only 15$ less than E6300
Total System Cost (Mobo + CPU) CDN Dollars
C2D Setup:
E6300 = $230
P5 (P965) Delux = $210
----------------------------
TOTAL = $440 x 1.14% = $502
AM2 Setup:
4600+ (65w) = $155
Decent Asus Mobo = $165
---------------------------
TOTAL = $320 x 1.14% = $365
Almost $150CDN price difference for the setups. Now which has more bang for the buck?
I used AT's E4300 review for my performance comparisons.
EDIT : Socket 775 Boards - http://canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProdList&cmd=pl&id=MB.157
P5B Deluxe or P5B-E look good to me. Actually P5B-E looks great now that I see it. Before there was only a P5B w/o Firewire and less SATA which made me not like it.
